Theodoros Kannas

He graduated from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science at Serres, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2001. He received his Master's Degree in Sports Coaching from the Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Program of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2004. He received his PhD (2012) entitled "The training effects on neurophysiological and biomechanics characteristics of muscular-tendon systems ". Ηe taught Athletics at the same department from 2003 to 2004. He has several peer reviewed international publications regarding the training adaptations. He has worked as fitness coach in several professional groups, while he was also a coach in Athletics for several years. His research interests include conditioning of team and individual sports as well as the prevention and rehabilitation process of sports injuries. In April 2015 he finished his postdoctoral research which was carried out in Department of Physical Education and sports Science of Thessaloniki under the supervision of Associate Professor VassiliaHatzitaki. Moreover, he is involved in several research, which were conducted in Laboratory of Biomechanics, regarding the neuromuscular adaptations myoskeletalsystem after training.
